Why we ask for these permissions
The App Store listing discloses access to your products, inventory, locations, navigation and theme. Here's what each one is actually for.
Why do you need to read my products?
So we can match a badge claim (Organic, Vegan, Non-GMO, etc.) to the right listing and pull in the details we need to start a verification.
Why do you need to write to my products?
To publish the verified badge and the link to its public proof page once you've reviewed and approved it. We never publish anything to a live product without your review.
Why inventory and locations?
So we only verify and monitor products that are actually active and for sale, not ones you've delisted or that are out of stock.
Why your store's navigation?
Only if you choose to add a Trust Center link to your store menu. This access lets you turn that on from your dashboard; nothing changes to your navigation unless you do.
Why your theme?
So the badge widget matches your store's layout and installs without breaking your theme. We don't edit your theme's code beyond adding the widget block you place.
