TilliT checked anyway. See exactly what we looked for, badge by badge, below.
Status as assessed Nov 8, 2026. This link always opens the latest result.
Everything the product page claims — including claims TilliT does not verify. TilliT assesses six badge types; anything else is listed here so you can see the full picture and check it yourself.
This is a real certification or claim type, but TilliT doesn't verify it yet. It is shown here so you know the product makes the claim — not as a judgement either way. Check it yourself using the note next to each one.
Vegetarian
On the page: “PRESERVATIVES • NO PALM OIL. EVER • SUITABLE FOR VEGETARIANS. Allergens For allergens, please see”
What it means: The product contains no meat, poultry or fish (but may contain dairy or egg).
Why TilliT doesn't verify it: TilliT checks Vegan claims (see the badge section), but not the broader Vegetarian claim, which allows dairy and egg. Vegetarian certification bodies exist (e.g. the Vegetarian Society) that TilliT doesn't check yet.
How to check it yourself: Read the ingredient list for dairy and egg. Look for a vegetarian-society trademark if one is shown.
Compostable / Recyclable / Biodegradable packaging
On the page: “including one for Christmas Day itself. ♻ Recyclable outer box ♻ Widely recyclable inner”
What it means: A claim about what happens to the packaging after use.
Why TilliT doesn't verify it: Some of these are certified (e.g. BPI / TÜV OK Compost / How2Recycle) and some are unqualified marketing. TilliT doesn't check the certification schemes yet.
How to check it yourself: Look for a certifier's mark (BPI, OK Compost, How2Recycle) and check your local facilities accept it.
TilliT also looked for gluten-free, allergen-free, organic, vegan, non-gmo, fair trade claims. None appear on this product's page, so there was nothing to verify.

Supply chain & sourcing
Who makes and moves this product, and where it comes from, from public sources only. It's background context, not evidence for or against any badge claim.
The brand publishes a page about its own suppliers / sourcing. This is the company's own account of its supply chain — worth reading, but not an independently verified supplier list.
What this means: This is the seller's own statement about where the product comes from. It is useful context, but it has not been independently checked.
Open sourceThe UK Food Hygiene Rating Scheme lists 3 registered business locations matching 'Montezuma's Chocolate', with ratings from 5 to 5 out of 5.
What this means: A UK food-safety inspection rating for premises tied to this brand. It reflects kitchen and food-handling hygiene, not whether the product is organic, gluten-free or anything else a badge covers.
Open sourceDoes this apply to the exact batch or lot you're buying?
Batch-level coverage cannot be inferred from public product page claims.
