100% Totally Dark Chocolate Chunks: what TilliT checked so far, below
A person is still reviewing one claim on this page — marked “review pending” below. The other claims are final.
Status as assessed Nov 6, 2026. This link always opens the latest result.
Everything the product page claims — including claims TilliT does not verify. TilliT assesses six badge types; anything else is listed here so you can see the full picture and check it yourself.
TilliT ran a full public-evidence check on this claim — see the badge-by-badge section above for what it found.
Organic
See the Organic result above.
Vegan
See the Vegan result above.
Non-GMO
See the Non-GMO result above.
Gluten-Free
See the Gluten-Free result above.
This is a real certification or claim type, but TilliT doesn't verify it yet. It is shown here so you know the product makes the claim — not as a judgement either way. Check it yourself using the note next to each one.
Kosher
On the page: “Non-GMO, Certified Gluten Free, and Kosher Pareve. It is also dairy free, soy”
What it means: A kosher-certifying agency has reviewed the product against Jewish dietary law, usually with on-site rabbinical supervision.
Why TilliT doesn't verify it: Kosher certification is granted by independent agencies (OU, OK, Star-K, KOF-K and others). TilliT doesn't verify the kosher claim itself. (It does read the Orthodox Union's product data on some checks, but only as an indirect signal for a dairy-free claim — never to confirm kosher status.)
How to check it yourself: Look for the certifying agency's symbol on the package (a letter mark such as OU, OK, Star-K or KOF-K), then search that agency's online product database for the brand.
Keto
On the page: “cacao beans. That also makes them keto-friendly. Can I substitute these for chocolate”
What it means: The product is presented as suitable for a ketogenic (very low carbohydrate) diet.
Why TilliT doesn't verify it: Most "keto" wording is a self-declared description of the nutrition profile. There is a third-party "Keto Certified" program (Paleo Foundation), but TilliT doesn't check its register yet.
How to check it yourself: Check the carbohydrate figure on the Nutrition Facts panel. If the package shows a "Keto Certified" mark, look the brand up on the Paleo Foundation site.
Direct trade
On the page: “ABOUT ABOUT --> Our Story Our Process Direct Trade Shipping Information Wholesale VISIT”
What it means: The company states it buys directly from producers rather than through the commodity market.
Why TilliT doesn't verify it: "Direct trade" is a company-defined sourcing model, not a single certified standard (unlike Fair Trade, which TilliT does check — see the badge section).
How to check it yourself: Read the company's own sourcing page for details on which producers and what prices.
These are marketing or nutrition-label descriptions rather than independently certified claims, so they aren't something TilliT verifies.
Sugar-free / No added sugar
On the page: “organic stone ground cacao beans), zero sugar, and all the bold, bright flavor our”
What it means: A nutrition-label claim about the product's sugar content.
Why TilliT doesn't verify it: "Sugar-free" and "no added sugar" are nutrition-content claims regulated on the label by the FDA, not third-party certifications, so they're outside what TilliT checks.
How to check it yourself: Check the Nutrition Facts panel (Total Sugars / Added Sugars).
Cold-pressed / Unrefined / Stone-ground
On the page: “is dark chocolate at 100 percent, stone ground in Somerville, MA from Direct Trade”
What it means: A description of how the product was made.
Why TilliT doesn't verify it: These are process descriptions with no certified definition for most foods.
How to check it yourself: Ask the maker what the term means for this specific product.
TilliT also looked for fair trade claim. None appear on this product's page, so there was nothing to verify.
